There's no real dance floor, but people dance between the sofas and around the DJ. Catalina is often referred to as a member of the “Holy Trinity of Hollywood Jazz Clubs” (along with The Baked Potato and Herb Albert’s), and it’s not difficult to see why. Stumble into this iconic Sunset Blvd. club any night of the week, and there’s a decent shot you’ll catch one of the best jazz musicians in the country doing a live set.
Bring your friends, siblings, or coworkers to this place, if really want to rock your nights. Certainly the only bar on this list where a song by Reba McEntire or Shania Twain would not be out of place. Oil Can Harry's is LA’s go-to gay cowboy bar—well, our only one.
